'Sunny Day at the Beach'

We ended up down the Mornington Peninsula at Rye front beach for the afternoon. Initially we were intending to head down to Phillip Island for the day, but we left home way too late for a two and a half hour drive each way and the traffic conditions today were pretty heavy.

We had a bite to eat at a local bakery before heading down to the beach for a couple of hours play in the sand and sun. It was a hot 38 degrees in Melbourne today, but a few degrees cooler down the coast here.

Ice Creams before heading home with an air-conditioner in the car that wasn't happy to stay on, it has decided that it needed a break every 10 or 15 minutes to cool down before coming back on. Time for a service this week anyway so I have the service centre check it out.

Back home now and I can smell something delicious cooking as I type this.

Another total fire ban tomorrow with temperatures up in the 40's once again.

Aahhh, a short work week too.
