"It's Surprising" ...

...Just what we'll find at our Dump... I guess at most Dumps really...

...But today, a day of HOT heat with a bit of a breeze - which didn't go down too well at the dump really with the dust and all - there were these lovely White Ibis sitting on a retention pond - well, there were about 60 more of them as well, but once I ventured out of the car - they were off - gone in a flash..

...They're more timid than most of the water birds and to see them in a large flock was so nice, but I would have much rathered they stayed where they were..

... I captured most in flight, but thought this shot was better - these are the stragglers left behind possibly wondering where their mates went in such a hurry..

...And thankyou to all who, upon viewing, gave so many lovely Hearts and Stars for my dear little Lizard on the Yellow Rose - and sent him straight to the spotlight page this morning...I do so appreciate your wonderful thoughts...and kind wishes for our Australia Day celebrations which I explained a little of what it was about in my blip there as well..it dates right back to 1788...
