White Throated Sparrow Silhouette

Today's challenge was silhouette, and this white throated sparrow is not really this fat. Nor is he overfeed (photographed in a state park).

This silhouette is created by purposefully fluffing out his feathers to create air pockets for additional insulation in cold temperatures. His silhouette is normally about half this size. We have had extremely long polar cold snap and it is forecast for the entire week.
