Softened by coffee fumes is apparently the best way.

I've found a particular brand of high quality emollient that not only promotes healing, but its stickiness stops me picking more. Expensive but helping. Also helping (weirdly) is a massive deadline. I'm pulling an all day and all nighter to get some work done. Had a wee run / shower outside before settling into my cage / desk.

One more consecutive day of rain and I'm sending out some doves to go find spring. No real winter, just incessant dampness. Feels less a flat and more Noah's ark with the wind battering the windows and rain down the chimneys.
