Chaffinch

The weather has been poor today, dull, wet and windy.
This afternoon it lightened up a little with showery spells.
Mostly it felt cold.
So well wrapped up and back bedroom window open, armed with notebook and pen, camera, recently acquired bird book and travel mug with lovely hot coffee with added winter warming ingredient ;-) I took part in the RSPB big garden bird watch.
An hour is the longest uninterrupted spell of watching the birds I have done since last years bird watch
There were a few showers, but they didn't ruin what was a pleasurable experience.
Another plus was the first time I've spotted and been able to identify this lady.
