Sunday Afternoon Walk

Went the other direction along the waterfront this afternoon. Liked the reflection of woman and dog on the wet sand in front of the modern flats at Western Harbour.
Earlier L and I had been at Socrates Cafe where the questions we discussed were whether humans need laws imposed by authority and how do we know the earth is round. Lots of interesting discussion. The second question widened out into a more general question about how we know what we know (or think we know) and what is needed to convince us of new 'facts'. Like the things you see shared on social media or the current government assertion that the economy is recovering and unemployment is falling that seems at odds with many people's experience of their own lives.
