Special day...........

................for a very special boy.

The day started quite early - as Sundays go - and I would not like to hazard a guess at the number of photographs that have been taken in the family.

Suffice it to say that if I had a pound for every one of them, I would not be going to work in the morning!

But what a special day. From opening gifts sporadically throughout the day, to live jazz with brunch at Blenheim palace - which included the band singing a special Happy Birthday to Reuben - trying out the new scooter within the palace building - having permission for said scooter riding as a) it was wet outside and b) it was Reuben's birthday and later a puddle splash and further riding in the local park.

Not sure about Reuben but I'm for an early night.

What a joy and blessing the whole weekend has been topped off with seeing so many smiles from a wonderful and much loved grandson.

PS. The face in this one was not aimed at the jazz trio as Reuben seemed to enjoy them very much. I think rather, just an expression caught at a moment when there was so much going on around. And trying to eat!
