Olympic Coin

On counting out my spare change box this morning I came across this Olympic 50p. Inspired by 'Legodude' blips recently on here of 2op pieces, I thought the 50p would make a good blip.

I honestly have never 'faffed' about so much taking a photo and really enjoyed it !!

My hubby - a keen photographer - has encouraged me a lot with taking photos so when I wasn't happy with my first few photos I had taken he suggested getting the tripod set up. So out the tripod came and I was fully briefed with how to work it etc. he then helped me set up the shot. A few photos later and a lens change I still wasn't happy at how 'dirty' the coin looked, so we progressed to experimenting with background and lighting.

I like this photo the best out of all the ones we took and I must thank hubby for his patience in helping me :-)
