Titanic Belfast

I am sure most of you have heard of the Titanic - the ocean liner which was built in Belfast and sadly four days into its maiden voyage in April, 1912, it struck an iceberg and sank. Well....we now have an amazing 'Titanic experience' in Belfast. This is the building which apparently when seen from above is the shape of a star which was the emblem of the liner company.

Today I was not in the Titanic building, but I went to see the wonderful Irish dancing show 'Riverdance' which is on tour as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations. As I had been at the first show in Dublin before I left for Malawi 20 years ago, I decided to go back and it was FABULOUS!! The rhythm, the music, the dance and the drama were all quite amazing - if you ever have a chance to see it, you really should. Unfortunately no photography was allowed inside!!

Had a lovely morning with my sisters family too, so all in all a good day - and no books in sight!!
