dreads

Shadow is the only horse I know with dreads! The wwoofers (willing workers on organic farms) started them last year and his owner thinks they're very 'natural' looking and has left them.
I'm supposed to be studying for an obstetric exam, but am on the 'come down' from yesterdays birth, which nearly always means a headache for me. So I took it gently, watched a bit of TV and took myself for a walk to say hello to the horses (in between ferocious showers and cold blasts of wind) and had afternoon tea with Oonagh ;0)
Second supper was delicious authentic Palestinian humous, felafels, lentils and rice , fine grated marinated cabbage and salads, all courtesy of a friend of a friend, just arrived for a months stay in the village. A late night with lots of chat. I steered a slightly weaving and very chatty Hubs home - taking all of a 3 minutes to walk back-a very big plus to living here.
