ALMA MATER

Who could have foretold all that time ago at my junior school in Australia that 55 years into the future I'd be wasting my Sunday trying to track down a corrupt font which has buggered up my system and put me a couple of days behind? I think I've sorted it out now, but no time today for any other blip than my first available school photo.

The school was tiny… two classrooms and two teachers (and a dog, by the look of it) for all the infants and juniors. I was just about to leave and come back to England where I was way behind with maths after two years away, but a demon speller! I'm on the left, second row back, a few months before my 8th birthday.

Location is approximate as I don't recognise it any more on Google Earth.
