Boris Bus

I had a meeting in London today, at the LSE and was delighted to find the new Boris Buses. I saw a few Boris bikes too.

If you have not seen one they have stairs at the back and the front of the bus and a guard to see people on and off. You can swipe your oyster cards either end and even in the middle as it has 3 sets of doors. The middle doors have a clever ramp that can be deployed to allow wheelchairs on and off.

It was getting dark on the way back to Victoria, as we got almost there a monsoon style rain storm hit, when the doors opened the wind howled through the 3 sets of doors. Getting off into that was rather refreshing! It was a challenge even to stand up! Maybe we should have gone by tube.
