Gifts for Burns season..

We have returned from Drumnadrochit after a great weekend. The above is a photo of the bottle of malt I was gifted for my Immortal Memory at the Balnain Burns Supper (see January 24 Blip). It is set beside a very old book of the works of Burns gifted to me many years ago.

I thought it appropriate to Blip this in an old photograph style given the age of the book.

It was a difficult journey from just before Aviemore to Blair Atholl due to the high winds and snow. We passed one jack-knifed truck and one ditched car on the way, and at times the traffic was moving at no more that 15mph. But we have arrived safely, and I might just have a wee dram to warm me up!
