Theodore Too

A busy day in Halifax, Nova Scotia. A city we have visited before and is one of my favourites.

Any Anita Shreve reader may remember the book “ Wedding in December”, which has a sub plot based on the WW1 Halifax harbour explosion. A book I enjoyed, but it had mixed reviews.

We started with a visit to the cemetery where 121 of the victims of the Titanic disaster are buried. Then on to Peggy’s Cove with its well photographed lighthouse, houses and blue, blue sea. Very picturesque! Back to Halifax via the Arcadian maple factory and then a visit to the Citadel to take photographs. A wander through the Public Gardens (which were closed last time following storm damage) and then down to the harbour front. Theodore Too is still there, looking as resplendent as ever and loads of fun!!

Excellent show this evening “The Unexpected Boys” in Oh What a Night, a musical tribute to the Four Seasons. I love it when you know the songs and can sing along (quietly…for fear of annoying other members of the audience!!)
