Homeless
Back to Phnom Penh this morning on our way to Kratie. No buses direct so we stayed one night. We checked into a hotel near the bus station so we can get an early bus tomorrow. The girl at the bus station recommended it so we didn't bother checking the room first. Big mistake! Alarm bells should have rung when we weren't quite sure if the $8 was per night or per hour!!
We went out for a walk and decided to just find somewhere else. We got a lovely room in a hotel on the riverfront. Our budget room didn't have any windows but there was a great shared balcony looking out over the river which was ace. Sat for hours watching the crazy Phnom Penh world go by.
This lady was hanging about with her two kids sniffing something dodgy out of a bag. I felt sorry for them all. You get pestered so much here by beggars working for gangs that I find it so easy to ignore them. It's annoying but easy to walk past. It's easy to forget some are genuine.
