Seeing Bebe and Sue xxx
We had a lovely day today. Eva is pretty much all better, she's sleeping well, eating well, and a happy, smiley baby girl.
After breakfast, Eva sat and played with her toys for a bit. She'd pulled some of her books out in front of her and was turning the pages herself (as she does). She absolutely loves books, I got down and read 3 to her and she was again turning each page herself as I read. She loves her sound books too, and has been growling like the lion in Dear Zoo for over a week now, it's very funny. I was changing her nappy at one stage today and she started making a purring sound. As if an 11 month old baby can purr, I was amazed lol.
Eva had a sleep for an hour and a half, then I got her up, gave her lunch (shepherds pie) and off we went to meet Sue and Bebe.
Eva was supposed to have been going to Bebe's 4th birthday party last Saturday, but she'd been so poorly, I couldn't take her with how she was. So we arranged to meet today with Bebe's birthday present and to all get to see each other. Eva has a sleep during the day and Bebe had ballet at 4, so we arranged to meet around 2.30 for an hour at Haystacks Play Barn over by Sue. It was so lovely to see them and the girls were so excited to see each other. Eva kept grabbing hold of Bebe's top and pulling her towards her. Bebe wanted Eva to play in the big children's area, but we had to explain that she was too small, but Bebe said that I could carry her round, she's so clever and funny. They sat together for a while in the baby ball pit and Eva loved it. She was quite covered in balls but wasn't fazed at all by it, her little legs were going under the balls kicking them, and she was just taking it all in and all smiley. I carried Eva round then to watch Bebe come down the slide. Eva gripped hold of me tight, but didn't show her apprehension in her face of all the children rushing round us. Sue went and got us both a delicious mint choc frappe then, and Bebe helped me hold Eva's bottle as I gave her her milk, whilst she was sat in a highchair. Bebe got changed into her ballet clothes before we left and was so excited to show me her outfit, ballet shoes and some twirls and pointing her toes. I'd promised Bebe that Eva could sit on her lap before we left, so she did, and Eva and Bebe sat so nicely together, it was very cute. It was a wonderful hour and a bit, just a shame we didn't get longer.
Eva played with her toys again when we got back and went in her jumperoo. Then we sat on the sofa together singing songs. I sang If You're Happy And You Know It Clap Your Hands...and without me clapping my hands, just by singing the words, Eva clapped her hands. She loves songs, just like her mom.
She started to get very tired by 6 o' clock, I tried to string out bedtime as long as possible, so I gave her her dinner, her dad bathed her, and she had her milk and was fast asleep in bed by 7.30pm. She did wake up 20 minutes later, but a little more milk and more cuddles did the trick, and she snuggled back down to sleep. Xxx
