Ilkley Old Bridge

Built in 1673 - 1676, this is the third bridge to cross the river Wharfe at this point, the olther two having been washed away in various floods.
It's a lovely old packhorse bridge, now closed to vehicular traffic.

The Dales Way long distance footpath (78 miles) starts here and ends at Bowness-on-Windermere.
I think a walk alongside the river Wharfe in Ilkley is a grand, easy walk :-)
