Loch Ard
Today dawned bright and sunny, and so instead of doing a practise session, we decided to get out and have a walk. We drove to Kinlochard, and walked the 'pipeline' which is the series of pipes and workings which take water from Loch Katrine and other lochs to the city of Glasgow. The workings were made in Victorian times and have served the city well.
As we gained height we had wonderful views of Loch Ard and back towards Kinlochard, and passed a small herd of highland cattle which of course we enjoyed photographing. However, I liked the prettiness of this shot of the loch and the snow on the surrounding hills, and with the little island. I believe there is a castle ruin on the island, probably a hunting lodge of some kind.
We got back to the hotel later today and just had time to have a rest before an earlier than usual dinner, as we were having a mini Burns Supper. We had the Address to the Haggis, and the Toast to the Lassies and the Reply from the Lassies, and a small morsel of haggis each. We then continued with dinner and dancing.
Another wonderfully enjoyable day.
