Cowpers Cross

At work this morning and outside the sun shone.

Dropped L off at the airport for her girly ski week after lunch, and then took me off for a run on t'moor. It was cold, wet, windy, pouring down, hailing in my face.

In the car sometime today before my run I was listening to a running podcast that I follow and heard the story of a young mum called Meg Cross Menzies who was killed by a drunk driver whist out running on 13th January this year in Richmond USA where she lived.

With the hail blowing in my face I chose to not wish I'd been out in the sun this morning but to say "the best run is the one you're running now". Some days you just have to be glad you're alive, and rarely do I feel more alive than when I run.

BTW don't drink and drive (lecturing myself here too), it's worse than stupid, we have no right to play roulette with anyones life.

Photo of Cowpers Cross on t'moor - I'll tell it's story another day.
