Kestrel

It has been a rainy morning here. I was just coming to the decision my blip might have to be another indoor shot when this kestrel alighted on the electric cables in the field at the bottom of my garden. Lucky I was looking out of the window!! He sat for ages! Once he ruffled his feathers when a crow wanted to share his place - the crow quickly left. Unfortunately I had the Nikon P520 set up - I say unfortunately because it hasn't a cable release facility and even on a tripod my hand was trembling with excitement too much to be steady on the shutter button. Well, he sat there long enough for my to swap over to the canon which has a cable release. This blip is at full zoom and he was rather a long way away - this is the best of the bunch! Hope your weather is better than mine!
