Sandy: toast to the immortal memory

Burn's night dinner saw us gather once more at the Telus Convention Centre for what is apparently, the largest all male gathering in North America.

This evening saw what was in my opinion the best toast to the bard i have ever witnessed. Sandy managed to rise above the parochialism and nationalism that is often intermingled with these events (just as true of not even more so of the welsh society) and deliver a speech full of wit, poignancy and reference to higher human values.
