Starting a new quilt project

I wanted to do something creative and just for me today. So as I got a book on "jelly roll" quilts (ready cut strips in a roll of contrasting fabrics) and I had bought a jelly roll, so I thought I would make a start. 500 triangles needed and I've nearly finished cutting them. Much quicker when the strips are already cut.

Then this afternoon we went to the cinema and watched "The Book Thief" I read the book a couple of years ago and usually am disappointed when I see a film after having read the book, but this time I thought it was excellent. I thoroughly recommend it.
