Still flooded

This is the other end of the path photographed on 14 Jan and it's still flooded. The seagulls were the only ones enjoying the water today. The building on the left has been water treatment works building since 1851 when The Tonbridge Water Works Company started to provide water to just 176 houses. By about 1900 they were charging 7/6 ( that's 37.5p in new money) to provide water to each toilet in a house. The Victorians must have had an army of people making out detailed bills.
