Warning!

Yes, it was a lovely red sky this morning, followed by icy sleety showers and fiercesome gales. S & I braved the barriers and went to town for messages and a bit of a swim, leaving my car at the garage for its service en route.

Such was the state of the barriers, ie pretty splashy even well before high water, that we headed back as soon as we were finished but unfortunately the car was still up on the ramp so we retired to the pub for lunch while we waited! An excellent plan! When I did pick up the car it had been given a clean bill of health, so that was a relief!

We did the right thing as the barriers were closed mid afternoon. They were impassable because of the amount of water coming over them! It's wild out there!
Poor Postie came home very wet and wind swept . . .
