Paintings in the Palace!
Stirling Castle was the favoured residence of Scotland's Kings and Queens. At the heart of the castle was the stunning Royal Palace of James V (father of Mary Queen of Scots). The Palace has been returned to its former splendour and was re-opened in 2011 by the Queen. These are some of the artworks on view in the stunning apartments.
There is so much to see that a return visit is a necessity ..... but on a clear day when the fabulous views from the castle walls can be appreciated!
