1916 Sewing Machine

I had a look on E-bay to see what they were bringing. There was nothing this old but prices ranged from £10 to £90.
I was thinking of using it to sew labels into Liz's clothing but fell at the first hurdle. I have no idea how to load it and when it comes down to it, it's not a job that I really fancy doing.
