Hot Pursuit

Sister C and nephews were up this afternoon, and the beach beckoned waipushrink and I, and three of the four children. I took a number of photos that I really like, perhaps most particularly this one of my lad; he looks much older than his six years, and very intense - and his quads are great. ;-) Other beach pics are sitting in my Flickr.

However, I kept coming back to this photo of nephew H, speeding around the side of the house with my boy in hot pursuit, armed with a big-fulla water gun. I think that - along with the fun and joy - what grabs me is the frozen motion, though the sense of speed is maintained.

Afterward I went mud-splashing and birding with waipushrink, and after that, a gorgeous dinner with the family entire, which was really lovely.
