standing tall - silent - in freshly fallen snow

there was something about this tree - covered in the whiteness and fluff - of the new snow today - all silent - yet majestic in its stance - as it stood hovering over me - creating a wonderful blanket of protection from the wind - blowing in my face - freezing my fingers - i took refuge beneath its branches - then turning back - noticed how wonderful it appeared - looking so graceful in the midst of the falling snowflakes - with that touch of orange - creating a spike of wild color - it was simply enough - nothing over the top - but to the point - nature speaking to me in a quiet tone - sometimes that's all it takes - to make it...
