Tender

My sister, who lives with us here in Connecticut, returned last night from a six week visit to the Honduran island of Roatan, where she used to live.

She has multiple health issues, and this morning, she suddenly began to have strong pains in her right leg. Fearing a possible blood clot brought on by yesterday's flight, I took her to the Emergency Room at the local hospital. Six hours later, after several rounds of tests and copious blood work, we were sent home with an undefined diagnosis. The good news is she does not have a clot. The bad news is she is still in pain! We will have to make an appointment with her doctors to try to get to the bottom of this.

Today's topic is "Tender" ... so here is my sister's swollen, tender leg in an examination room at New Milford Hospital.

On a completely different subject, my middle son Tom turned 32 years old today -- hard to believe so much time has flown by!
