Monte or Bust

I don't think the chap on the bike is going as far as Monte Carlo but who knows. Paisley was the UK departure point for a historic re-run of the old Monte Carlo rally and there must have been about forty classic cars lined up round Paisley Abbey. There were Hillman Imps, a Saab, a Volvo, Rileys and a Land Rover among them. I am not a Jeremy Clarkson adoring petrolhead but I do have a liking for old cars- my favourite is the Rover P5 but I did not see one today.

The only disappointment was a comment from the BBC about how strange it was that the cars should be leaving from Paisley when other venues included Barcelona and Stockholm. "Keep your eye on Paisley" as the old saying has it.
