Try a little tenderness...

Its winter, and I work in a hospital. But we do have some great grounds staff, who really make an effort to give a smile and a bit of colour to the staff and patients. This shot, for the DDW Challenge, "Tender" - is taken of a bush just outside the car park.

It can be so easy, in winter, with short days, grey skies (it was raining), and bare trees to be left with a sense of barren emptiness, which is not conducive to health. Our patients don't just need physical care, they also need us to help them cope mentally with their illness. A simple thing like a flowering bush can help achieve that.
