Sluice Gate

My photo yesterday also made it into Spotlight for a while today. That is the second time in three days. Once again thank you all so very much - I really do appreciate it.

I am continuing the mono theme today with this shot of a sluice gate on the Devonport Leat in the woods around Burrator. It may not look like it but the water is flowing from left to right. The sluice gate ensures that some of the water is diverted into the large metal pipe - all that does is ensure the water going down the pipe gets to the reservoir sooner.
