Canalside Gold

This afternoon I went for a walk along the Montgomery Canal near Welshpool. It is unrestored so good for wildlife and plants as there's no water traffic. I saw a field containing a large flock of fieldfare and probably redwing though I didn't actually see those. As they were a long way away (a binoculars job) the photos were very poor so I've used one of the sun shining on the canalside grasses. It was lovely to have a sunny day, a respite from all the rain!
