Arghhhhhh

No y12 or 13 classes today and had big plans to sort my desk... however that did not happen.
Took y8 to the library and gave them random books from the horrible science collection. They have until 13 February to read and produce a report. Gave success criteria, to include fascinating facts/s that they have learned. It can be produced in any format. All but one were very engaged; funny how sitting beside the teacher helps your concentration!
Year 11 PD were looking at positive thoughts and goal setting. I showed them a video about Nelson
Mandela and Nick Vujicic to demonstrate the need to be resilient in adversity. They were stunned by Nick. Something to continue next week!
Had to pull together articles for the school newsletter. Y13 Magilligan field trip, ECO- UNESCO workshop and Snapping Swans at the last minute. Consequently I have brought home the y12 mock paper to mark tonight.
Cathryn had her first scan today so I am looking forward to my first glimpse of the baby.
