Another Glasgow back alley - Anchor Lane

This alley is behind the former buildings of the Bank of Scotland - running parallel to George Square, directly behind the Counting House, the 1st pub in Glasgow to have the smoking ban !

I am guessing its called Anchor Lane due to the associations of the bank with shipping and trade. The Citizen Lane runs from it too. You see the chefs and waiters smoking outside in the lane from the restaurants.

Its a beauitful cobbled lane.
