Spa swimming

Took Audrey to Angus's spa at the Radisson in Manchester this morning for a swim. Angus was off so we thought it would be a nice thing to do as a family.

You have to scenario plan everything as a Mum. I knew that there were no family changing rooms at the hotel so it would mean Audrey coming in with me and the thought of changing us both in a cold slippery room didn't fill me with joy. So we both had our costumes on under our clothes this morning (see pic of Audrey pottering round with hers on at home). Organisation!

Swimming went well. She was a bit cautious at first as it's been a while since we took her but she soon got into it (the splashing part anyway).

I got out first and got changed so that I could get her dry and changed quicker. Mission successful!

We grabbed lunch at Eat in Spinngfields and picked some cupcakes up on the way home to have on Audrey's nap*. *The nap is back, phew!!

The weather was crazy today complete with a bitter wind, bright sunshine and even hail at one point so it was nice to light the fire and draw the curtains this afternoon.

Looking forward to a cosy night in with lots of rubbish telly and a bottle of red.
