Stems in light and shade

Rather a frustrating day as I tried to get on with some knitwear design this morning but kept getting interrupted. And then I ended up ripping it all out. This is an all too familiar outcome for me. Although I know the answer is to pick up my needles and start again, just at the moment I'm feeling very cross about it. I went out for a walk later and spotted these red and green stems in the local park.
