Jolly Old Hawk and his wings were grey...
Managed to grab this one shot of the male sparrowhawk as it zoomed into the garden. I've seen it a few times in the last few days but as soon as he misses his prey, the little birds , he's off flying low across the field. They miss more often than not and will take the poorly or injured birds first. The female being 25% bigger can take down starlings and pigeons.
keep looking out to see if it's snowing but just a few rain showers so far. Down to 2 degrees but it's not been too bad a day.
