Winter beech

I love beech trees - they look so completely magical, whatever the time of year. I also love gnarly old trees, so here's a combination of the two! I have to say, what I was supposed to be doing was shopping in Sainsbury's for wine and Bombay mix, milk, chicken and a red pepper. So not sure what happened there!

These trees were up on Whiteshute Ridge enjoying the sunshine. I wasn't wearing walking boots (obviously) so got rather muddy. You'll be glad to hear, though, that I did shop in the end, so no-one goes hungry tonight..
