The timeless beauty of the backwaters

I still intend to get here when the sun is rising but just lately I am enjoying not having to be anywhere by any particular time - such luxury. Kerala is famous for its backwaters which are salt water and flowing into the sea. Further south there is an amazing water world of wicker boats .. relaxing on one of these while the boat owners cook for you is a great experience.

None of those here .. just the local fishermen .. not sure if it is we who have adjusted to the weather but it seems so idyllic at the moment even though to move anywhere is to sweat!

My son and his girlfriend are on their way back from the forests in Wyanad . I am looking forward to hearing about their experience
