How Much Longer?

Too many pickleball players at the YMCA lately.

We've developed a system to keep track of whose turn it is to play. Late arrivals sit at the right end of the row. When a game ends, four people on the left end take the court, everyone else moves four places over, and the people who just played sit at the right end. Simple, but it works.

Since people come and go at different times, players don't get stuck in the same foursome all morning -- fortunately. Today I waited about fifteen minutes for my first game. My partner and I were up against two much stronger players and our game was over in five minutes.

I had better luck later.
