Rush hour
At 6pm, this intersection was busy with rush hour traffic. There were bicycles as far as the eye could see, as well as pedestrians, busses, trams, motorcycles and cars. As is customary in Amsterdam, everyone was strictly obeying the traffic signals. At this intersection, there are four sets of lights for each corner, including transit, cars, bicycles and pedestrians. Pedestrian lights double up as there is one for crossing each half of the street. When the lights were green, everyone was moving fast. Those on two wheels were moving fastest of all!
