It was possibly a bit mean and I didn't do intentionally but I think I may have caused someone to cycle a lot harder than they normally would have.

There is a guy at work who does the same route as me. Goes like the clappers and built like a rake. Serious cyclist. Anyway, I know he likes a target so as I was leaving a couple minutes before him I said he'll no doubt pass me on the way.

I went to the post office before I left town. To be fair I forgot I had to go, but he was telling me the next morning how he thought he'd catch me at at a certain point but didn't see me.
