WATERBEURT

Every week, on a Wednesday evening, we have the right to take water from the furrow for fifteen minutes. During that time the water flows into our little dam and down the furrow to flood irrigate the rose terrace. When the dam is full the water cascades over the wall and waters the herb garden
For the rest of the week we use an electric water pump to irrigate the garden with the dam water. The water comes from the Swartberg Mountains.
