Swanning around

Spotted these swans earlier, think they are Whooper Swans. There were lots and lots of them in a field, in the region of 100 I would think. As soon as they were aware of my approach they started waddling away from me in one direction.

A bit more information. The field the swans were in is just a few miles from the Solway Firth and I saw them in this field last winter as well. They've been around since the high tides the other week, but I've only seen them from the distance

Misty has been getting a bit too bold with Sasha cat this evening who told her off :) She says thank you for all the lovely comments and stars for her leaping blip yesterday, she's very chuffed :)
