Big Burns Supper

Back to the Multicultural Association today for part 2 of the Food Hygiene course. I hope I passed the exam - will find out next week. As usual, the lunch table was groaning with food from around the world... Sarah had made pierogi, Tahira made coconut sweets and Nasma some rice pudding. Esraa made a delicious dish with courgettes. There were also noodles, halwa and dips. We brought couscous and cheese bread. I was glad I had come on my bike!

This weekend is the Big Burns Supper in Dumfries, with lots of live music, arts events and fun. On Saturday afternoon there is a 'Homecoming Carnival' involving 30 community groups and the Manchester School of Samba.

DGMA have been busy making lanterns and here you see Olivia explaining to Sarah how the lights will be put inside before we carry them through the streets..

See you there!
