In search of colour

Headed to Kirbymoorside for the weekly Pilates and a catch up over coffee at the Penny Bank. No stand out blips on offer on a very dull and dreary day.

Then to York in search of a new bathroom and to pick up youngest son Thomas who has headed home for the weekend after his exams at Newcastle University. Suspect food and washing are high on the agenda.

As we passed a garage and shop aptly named Last Shop Before Mars I spotted these exterminators. Being of the generation who watched Dr Who each Saturday with William Hartnell and in black and white I well remember hiding behind the sofa when the dreaded Daleks appeared.

At least I could now capture them in technicolour - although not sure about the illuminations!
