Nat - soon to be Mum of 3

Tonight was the 'leaving' night for a work colleague who is going on maternity leave this week.

After more than a year of planning, next month they are going to be Mum and Dad to a family of 3 children who have been in care after a sad and tough start in life. Until Nat and her husband came along, the 3 kids (aged 2, 5, and 7) only had each other as family. I cannot contemplate how much life is going to change for all 5 of them. From what she has told us about the kids who have recently been told they are going to live with Nat (and the 3 of them get to stay together), they are just as excited as the parents-to-be are. What a fabulous way to start 2014 for them all.

Most people only change their house/ life to cope with one new addition when they have a child, but they have been buying, decorating, arranging everything in triplicate and are so excited about it.

Everyone in our team at work has been really moved seeing their story unfold throughout 2013. One common theme is obvious... Nat and her husband are unbelievably courageous, brave, and amazing people.
