Gifford Panel
This is a detail of the so called Gifford Panel set into the wall of one of the cottages lining West Linton's Main Street and carved by James Gifford, stonemason, sculptor and portioner of West Linton around the 1660s. Judging by the image it's the tree of life carved for the occasion of a wedding between IG and EV, the IG probably James Gifford himself. Sorry it's on a bit of a slant as it's just too high to take square on unless you're prepared to stand on a ladder in the middle of the Main Street to take the picture. Sadly even for Blip I wasn't prepared to go quite that far.
