'n Kiekie 'n Dag

from Penzance (brought back by N&V when holidaying there years ago).

This story reminded me: We have a saying in Afrikaans " hoe meer haas hoe minder spoed" translated as "the more haste the less speed". As a child I heard this often, but I did not know that "haas" means "haste"; I only knew it as "rabbit". So I thought the saying meant that "the fatter the rabbit the slower it is". Doesn't that make more sense?.

Very frosty & foggy this morning. rest of the day was cold.

Had mixed veg for dinner.
